Job summary

Autism Association of Western Australia invites applications for a part-time Autism Support Worker – Community Support. Based in Perth, you will help individuals with autism build independence, daily living skills and participate in community activities.

You will work ten to fifteen hours weekly, with shifts before/after school, on weekends and school holidays. Applicants with autism experience and a valid driver's license are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting individuals with Autism.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and non-verbal).
• Patient, proactive and confident in supporting clients in community settings.

Responsibilities

• Help individuals build independence and life skills.
• Support children before/after school, on weekends and during school holidays.
• Accompany clients on community outings and social events.
• Build communication, social and daily living skills.
• Support adults with independence, community participation and job readiness.
