Job summary

Autism Spectrum Australia (Aspect) is seeking an Occupational Therapist to deliver community-based therapy across The Gables and the Hills Shire region. This itinerant role offers autonomy, strong professional support and a flexible schedule in a not-for-profit setting.

You will work with participants and their families to build practical skills, promote independence, and improve quality of life through evidence-informed, person-centred therapy.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in occupational therapy.
• Fully registered with AHPRA.
• Current driver’s licence and willingness to travel across The Hills Region and Blacktown LGA's.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check clearance.
• Working with Children Check for paid employment.
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module: ‘Quality, Safety and You’ certificate.
• International police clearance may be required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver therapy supports to participants in community settings (3–4 per day).
• Develop practical, goal-focused intervention plans.
• Collaborate with families, carers and support networks.
• Build strengths-based, functional, meaningful strategies.
• Support participants to develop independence and daily living skills.
• Work autonomously in the community and as part of a supportive team.
