Job summary

Chemist Outlet in New South Wales is seeking a friendly Retail Customer Service Officer to join our team on a casual basis, with shifts Mon–Sat. You will handle customer sales, process transactions, and promote products while maintaining accuracy and a welcoming store environment.

You’ll work in a team-focused setting at our Gosford location, prioritising customer needs, cash handling, and daily administrative tasks.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service and cash handling.
• Australian Post Office or banking experience preferred.
• Friendly, reliable and team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Perform customer sales and service transactions.
• Manage high value transactions accurately (cash, cheques, credit cards, EFTPOS).
• Conduct identity services transactions including Australian Passport Interviews.
• Promote products and services through up-selling and cross-selling, merchandising and promotions.
• Assist customers with mail lodgements and associated costs.
• Build rewarding relationships by understanding customer needs.
• Assist with stocktaking and record maintenance.

As our Retail Customer Service Officer you will be employed on a casual basis with shifts varying throughout the week (Mon-Sat).

What you'll be doing:

Performing customer sales and service transactions with customers.

Managing high value transactions accurately (handling and processing cash, cheques, credit cards and EFTPOS).

Conducting and processing a number of identity services transactions, including Australian Passport Interviews.

Promoting our products and services through up-selling and cross-selling, merchandising and other promotional activities.

Assisting customers with mail lodgements and associate costs.

Building rewarding relationships with customers by understanding their needs.

Assisting with administrative duties such as stocktaking and record maintenance.

You’ll also need to

Have experience in customer service and/or cash handling. Must have previous experience working in an Australian Post Office (preferred) or banking experience (a must).
