Qualifications

8+ years of communications experience in defence, aerospace, government, technology or B2G sectors.
Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, PR, political science, IR, marketing or related field.
Strong track record securing earned media in Australia with journalist relationships.
Experience developing comms strategies and executing major announcements and events.

Responsibilities

Own and grow Shield AI's earned-media footprint in Australia and coordinate with regional teams.
Develop proactive media strategies tied to milestones, events and workforce developments.
Prepare spokespeople for interviews and manage press logistics and on-site operations.
Monitor defence-policy trends to identify opportunities, risks and narratives.
Translate complex tech concepts into concise narratives for technical and non-technical audiences.
