Job summary

Citigroup Inc. in Sydney is seeking an Australia Custody Country Head to lead the custody franchise, shape product strategy, and manage risk and controls across the Australian operations, with collaboration across Japan and Asia North & Australia clusters.

You will lead a team, own P&L, and work with global partners to drive strategic initiatives, regulatory compliance, and enhanced client outcomes in a dynamic financial services environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Own and drive product P&L – revenue, profitability, returns, plan, balance sheet. Define and drive achievement of targets and financial performance.
• Define and manage strategic roadmap, development, launch, and marketing to gain maximum benefit from custody product suite.
• Lead custody product differentiation and innovation, incl. launches to increase revenues; align with global partners for continuous improvements.
• Execute on key strategic priorities of the custody business; oversee product delivery and client experience lifecycle.
• Oversee all aspects of product life cycle management including market demands and technology trends.
• Analyze market developments in Australia to provide actionable intelligence and support market advocacy.
• Lead risk, control and regulatory reviews and governance forums across the cluster.
• Connect to industry sources and support custody inquiries with Sales and Operations teams.

We’re currently looking for a high caliber professional to join our team asAustralia Custody Country Headbased in Sydney, Australia. The Australia Custody Country Head is a senior level position responsible for the Australia custody franchise and the development of product , strategies and tactics and risk and control. In addition to the Australia country role, this candidate will also assist the Japan, Asia North & Australia Custody Head in cross-cluster initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development and analysis of strategic enhancements and development, product launches in Australia and across the cluster

• Participate in day-to-day product management for core products such as product delivery, as well as lead the team prioritize, negotiate, and remove obstacles to achieve business results

• Mange a team of 1 staff

• Contribute to achievement of acquisition targets, product financial performance, revenue performance, and expense management goals as well as oversee identification and execution of opportunities and gaps business plans

• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

• Connect to industry sources to share industry specific updates to product and operations partners.

• Support Product Sales Specialists regarding Custody enquiries.

• Work closely with Operations & Technology function and co-ordinate transformations across the Cluster

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience

• Knowledge of Investor / Securities Services product or client coverage

• Ability to work unsupervised and adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate

• Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements

• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication

• Demonstrated analytical skills

• Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills

Education

• Bachelor’s degree/University degree.
