Job summary

BDO Australia in Perth is seeking an experienced Audit Manager to join our growing Audit practice. You will partner with a diverse range of public and private sector clients across multiple industries and lead a high‑performing team to deliver quality engagements.

You will identify risks, contribute to service line strategy, review papers, and mentor staff. A relevant tertiary qualification and CA/CPA designation (or equivalent) with at least four years of external audit experience are required.

Qualifications

• 4 years of external audit experience in a professional services firm.
• CA/CPA qualification (or equivalent).
• Strong communication, interpersonal, leadership, and multitasking skills.
• Previous experience in supporting and managing a team.

Responsibilities

• Partner with a diverse range of public and private sector organisations across multiple industries.
• Manage, lead and develop the Audit team to ensure successful completion and execution assigned engagement
• Service line management, including contribution to overall service line strategy.
• Identify audit and engagement risks and assist to determine the appropriate audit for each assignment and communicate to the Audit Directors
• Review working papers, audit queries, correspondence and reports prepared by the team to ensure compliance with audit plan, procedures and appropriate quality of work
• Lead and participate in technical consultations
