Job summary

RSM Australia in Ballarat is looking for an Audit Assistant to join our Ballarat office. If you have audit exposure and want to develop professionally, this role offers hands-on experience across a broad range of engagements and guided CA journey.

You'll work with experienced professionals, apply fundamental audit skills, prepare workpapers, assist with planning, and learn Accounting and Auditing Standards using leading tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Business or Commerce with an Accounting major.
• CA studies started or completed (or equivalent).
• Approximately 6–12 months of audit experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail and analytical mindset.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with experienced audit professionals on diverse engagements.
• Prepare and complete audit workpapers, document testing and findings.
• Assist with audit planning and fieldwork activities.
• Develop knowledge of Accounting and Auditing Standards.
• Use audit technology and electronic tools.
• Prepare client reports and documentation for management.
• Support senior team members with engagements and client requirements.
• Maintain training records and timesheets.
