Job summary

Amazon Australia is seeking a Systems Engineer to provide technical support for Windows Server and Active Directory, maintain patches, and develop automation using PowerShell across multiple environments. You will contribute to documentation and runbooks, and participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to ensure high availability.

Ideal candidates have a CS or technical degree, scripting experience (PowerShell, Python, Bash), and 1+ years in SRE/DevOps or related roles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other technical degree or related experience
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals
• Experience with a scripting language such as PowerShell, Python, Bash, Perl, Ruby or similar
• 1+ years of site reliability engineering (SRE), systems engineering, systems administration, DevOps, security administration, or network administration experience
• 2+ years of building scripts, tooling, and automation for large-scale computing environments experience
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools including Continuous Integration / Deployment, Puppet, Docker, Kubernetes, Chef etc.
• Experience in networking and troubleshooting
• 2+ years of site reliability engineering (SRE), systems engineering, systems administration, DevOps, security administration, or network administration experience

The Systems Engineer contributes to the design, implementation, and automation of complex Windows infrastructure solutions across multiple environments. This role supports the infrastructure automation, system architecture, and Windows environment management, focusing on developing automated solutions for managing large server fleet.

Region Services provides the highest caliber Operational Solutions and Cleared Support for services within our Regions. We provide 'hands on keyboard' support to our service teams by deploying changes into these isolated regions, monitoring the results, and reporting any issues that are observed.
