Job summary

Saab Australia is seeking an aspiring Associate Systems Engineer to join our Hawthorn, VIC teams. This Expression of Interest role offers exposure to cutting-edge defence capabilities and enables development of systems engineering skills in a collaborative environment.

You will work with experienced engineers to gather requirements, develop system architectures, and assist with testing and integration across hardware and software components.

Qualifications

• Up to 2 years' experience in Systems Engineering activities prior to this role.
• Fundamental understanding of systems engineering principles.
• Basic familiarity with military systems or related defence technologies is desirable.
• Familiarity of System Engineering in an ASDEFCON context is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist in gathering and analysing system requirements from stakeholders.
• Support the development of requirements documentation and traceability matrices.
• Contribute to the creation of system architecture and design specifications.
• Participate in design reviews and provide feedback to ensure system requirements are met.
• Aid in the integration of hardware and software components into the system.
• Work alongside experienced engineers to implement system solutions and configurations.
• Participate in testing activities, including functional, integration, and system testing.
