Job summary

CDC Data Centres in Australia is seeking an Associate Service Technician 24/7 to support customers, maintenance and monitoring activities across our data centre operations. You will engage with customers, service technicians and contractors while helping maintain uptime and safety.

Australian citizenship with NV1 clearance required; experience in technical environments and collaboration with stakeholders; ongoing development opportunities through the CDC Academy and related programmes.

Qualifications

• Experience in technical environments such as telecommunications, fibre, fire systems, IT, industrial facilities, or related fields.
• Ability to identify risks and develop practical solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support Customers, Service Technicians and contractors during maintenance and support activities.
• Monitor critical infrastructure to ensure uptime and no disruption to client operations.
• Respond swiftly to customer requests and critical events.
• Ensure personnel are performing activities safely and in accordance with CDC's processes and procedures.
• Provide timely reporting of events and support restoration to normal operations.

About the role:

The Associate Service Technician 24/7 position is a vital role that significantly contributes to the continuity and efficiency of our Data Centre Operations teams. The Associate Service Technician role is designed to uphold the highest standards of operational excellence and to ensure the continued customer satisfaction and data centre uptime we are known for. This role encompasses supporting customers, maintenance and monitoring activities, and is a key role in CDC's career pathways initiative with investment in learning and development opportunities, as we empower our teams for future growth.

• Support and engage with Customers, Service Technicians and contractors undertaking support activities and overseeing maintenance works
• Monitor critical infrastructure to ensure continuity of services and no disruption to client's or business operations
• Utilise electronic monitoring systems to proactively oversee and monitor site conditions
• Respond to customer requests and critical events swiftly,
• Ensure personnel are performing activities safely and in accordance with CDC's processes and procedures.
• Provide timely reporting of events, and support restoration to normal operations

• Experience working in technical environments such as telecommunications, fibre, fire systems, trades, IT, industrial facilities, or related fields
• Confidence collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders, including internal teams, subject matter experts, and external service providers
• The ability to identify risks and develop practical, effective solutions
• Strong proficiency in Office 365 applications
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Essential:

Australian Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a NV1 Security Clearance.
