As Associate Product Manager – eCommerce Network Design, you’ll develop and maintain the analytical tools, datasets, simulation and optimisation models that support strategic and tactical planning across our eCommerce network. This is a dynamic and hands-on role where you’ll combine data science, research and programming to solve complex network challenges and provide clear, evidence-based recommendations.
You’ll also:
Develop robust eCommerce network design tools and models to support Click & Collect, fulfilment, delivery and future store network decisions
Analyse customer catchments, network capacity, service outcomes and cost per order to identify optimisation opportunities
Build and run complex scenarios using simulation and optimisation models to assess network performance and trade-offs across cost, capacity, customer service, resilience and future growth
Translate detailed analysis into practical recommendations that inform network planning, investment prioritisation and business cases
Create reusable, well-documented analytical frameworks and reduce manual effort by improving the reliability and efficiency of modelling processes
This opportunity will suit someone who enjoys solving complex, real-world problems and can combine strong technical capability with commercial thinking. You may come from data science, operations research, logistics optimisation, network design or a related analytical background.
You’ll also have:
Experience in network design, supply chain, last-mile logistics, data science, operations research or advanced analytics, ideally within a complex operating environment
Strong Python programming skills, including object-oriented programming and the ability to write clean, maintainable, production-quality code
Experience developing optimisation and simulation models using methods such as linear programming, mixed-integer linear programming, constraint programming, discrete-event simulation, heuristics or metaheuristics
The ability to analyse large and complex datasets, develop meaningful insights and communicate technical concepts and recommendations to non-technical stakeholders
A relevant bachelor’s, master’s or PhD degree, with exposure to tools such as PuLP, OR-Tools or Pyomo and, ideally, Power BI, Tableau, Microsoft Azure or geospatial analytics
