Job summary

HWLE Lawyers in Sydney is seeking a solicitor to join our nationally recognised Environment & Planning Practice Group. You will work closely with Peter Holt, Accredited Specialist in Planning and Environment Law, advising governments, councils, statutory authorities, industry groups and private clients on complex planning and environmental matters.

The opportunity

Join a nationally recognised Environment & Planning Practice Group and work closely with Peter Holt, an Accredited Specialist in Planning and Environment Law.

Peter has more than 20 years' experience advising governments, councils, statutory authorities, industry groups and private sector clients on complex planning, environmental and regulatory matters. His experience includes major planning reform initiatives, Land and Environment Court litigation, compulsory acquisition, local government law and water law.

To be successful in this role, ideally you will have

• 2+ years post-admission experience in planning, environment, administrative or local government law


• Interested in developing specialist expertise in planning and environmental law


• A strong writer and communicator
