Job summary

Optus in Australia is seeking an Associate Director - Optimisation to lead operational excellence across Collections & Recoveries, guiding technology optimisation, AI integration, and continuous improvement.

You will report to the Senior Director and partner with analytics and IT teams to embed FICO strategy opportunities, govern the technology roadmap, and balance performance with customer experience and regulatory integrity.

Qualifications

• Established background in managing technology improvement, AI implementation, and oversight of vendors within collections operations.
• Outstanding ability to balance commercial performance, customer experience, and regulatory integrity.
• Demonstrated leadership strength with an emphasis on encouraging consistent improvement and operational excellence.
• Excellent collaboration skills, working effectively with cross-functional teams and collaborators.

Responsibilities

• Lead the identification, development, and embedment of FICO strategy opportunities across the Collections & Recoveries function.
• Collaborate with analytics and IT teams to ensure accounts are flowing through the collections system as built.
• Champion the continuous optimisation of collections strategies within FICO.
• Manage the Collections & Recoveries technology roadmap from an operational perspective.
