Job summary

Mediq Broadmeadows is seeking a general dentist to join our established dental surgery in Broadmeadows. The Associate Dentist I role offers a guaranteed daily retainer of $700 or 40% of collections, whichever is greater, with potential to grow as the roster expands.

You will perform examinations, preventive care, fillings, extractions, root canals, crowns, dentures and Children's dentistry, with a supportive practice team. AHPRA registration and indemnity are required.

Qualifications

• General registration as a dentist with AHPRA, with no conditions.
• Own professional indemnity insurance.
• 1+ years of clinical experience preferred or strong new graduates considered.
• Clear communicator who explains treatment and costs simply.
• Experience with Dental4Web is advantageous.

Mediq Broadmeadows is an established medical centre with its own dental surgery. We are looking for a general dentist who enjoys family dentistry and wants to build a long-term patient base with us. You will work alongside our existing dentist, with room to take on more days as the practice grows.

Key responsibilities

Examinations, treatment planning and preventive care for children and adults

Fillings, extractions, root canals, crowns and dentures

Children's dentistry, including Child Dental Benefits Schedule and DHSV voucher patients

Emergency and same-day appointments

Clear aligner treatment if within your experience (we use SureSmile)

The role offers the opportunity to practice with a high degree of clinical independence as the sole dentist on rostered days, supported by an established practice team.

About you

General registration as a dentist with AHPRA, with no conditions

Your own professional indemnity insurance

Ideally 1 or more years of clinical experience; strong new graduates will be considered

Confident and gentle with children and anxious patients

Clear communicator who explains treatment and costs simply

Medicare provider number for our location, or willing to apply (we'll help)

Clear aligner experience (highly regarded)

Experience with Dental4Web

A community language such as Arabic, Turkish or Assyrian

Mediq Broadmeadows is an established medical centre at 25 Olsen Place, Broadmeadows, with its own dental surgery in the same building. Our Wednesday dental list is consistently busy and we are adding a second dentist day to grow. We have a built-in referral stream from our GP clinic, which sees over 14,000 patient visits a year, and direct access to our GPs for medically complex patients. Associates will have access to an experienced clinician with a special interest in surgical extractions, offering both an internal referral option for complex cases and valuable opportunities for clinical learning and mentorship.

We are prepared to invest in you while your patient base develops, and we are equally prepared to recognize the growth of the practice with improved remuneration security.

We offer a guaranteed minimum of $700 per day or 40% of collections after applicable laboratory fees, whichever is greater. The daily guarantee will be reviewed as the appointment book develops, with the potential for an increased retainer as patient demand grows. Details to be discussed at interview.
