Job summary

Amazon Web Services Australia Pty Ltd is seeking an Associate Corporate Counsel to support the transformation of Australia’s technology landscape through a strategic cloud initiative. You will counsel AWS teams across infrastructure, product and security, negotiate contracts, and help shape strategy to accelerate digital infrastructure and cloud services.

The role requires curiosity, a strong judgment, and the ability to navigate ambiguous situations.

Qualifications

• Australian citizen or eligible for government security clearance.
• Law degree (LL.B., J.D. or equivalent) and admitted to practice in Australia or another common law jurisdiction.
• Minimum 2+ years of post-admission legal experience, in-house or private practice.

Responsibilities

• Support AWS teams across infrastructure, product and security with day-to-day legal counselling.
• Negotiate contracts and contribute to project strategies for digital infrastructure and cloud services.
• Support security governance, compliance and risk management functions.
• Develop risk-aware processes that enable business agility and speed.
