Job summary

Kaizen Recruitment is recruiting for a Client Onboarding Associate in Australia. The role focuses on end-to-end onboarding of institutional investors and ensuring a seamless client experience from engagement to activation.

You will conduct AML/KYC due diligence, manage complex onboarding across multiple stakeholders, and collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Tax and Operations to ensure timely execution of onboarding activities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in client onboarding within funds management, superannuation, institutional banking, custody or fund administration.
• Strong understanding of institutional onboarding processes, client due diligence requirements and regulatory obligations.
• Experience managing complex onboarding cases across multiple stakeholders and jurisdictions.
• Knowledge of AML/CTF, FATCA and CRS in financial services environments.
• Proven ability to build trusted relationships with clients, consultants, custodians, trustees and internal partners.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with senior stakeholders.
• Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Business, Finance or related discipline preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end onboarding of institutional investors from engagement to account activation.
• Be a trusted contact for clients, consultants, investment teams and service providers throughout onboarding.
• Conduct AML/KYC due diligence and risk assessments per regulatory standards.
• Coordinate onboarding events including new mandates, restructures and fund launches.
• Partner with Legal, Compliance, Tax and Operations to execute onboarding activities.
• Support regulatory reporting, audit requests and ongoing investor maintenance.
• Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency, controls and client onboarding experience.

Our client is a globallyrecognisedinvestment manager witha strong reputationand well-established presence in the Australian market. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Client Onboarding Associate to join their team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end onboarding of institutional investors, ensuring a seamless and professional client experience frominitialengagementthrough toaccount activation.
• Act as a trusted point of contact for clients, consultants, investmentteamsand external service providers throughout the onboarding lifecycle.
• Conduct AML/KYC due diligence and risk assessments in line with regulatory obligations and internal compliance standards.
• Coordinate complex onboarding events, including new mandates, investor restructures, accountupdatesand fund launches.
• Partner with Legal, Compliance, Tax and Operations teams tofacilitatethetimelyexecution of onboarding activities.
• Support regulatory reporting, auditrequestsand ongoing investor maintenance activities.
• Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, strengthencontrolsand elevate theclientonboarding experience.

Knowledge & Experience

• 5+ years' experience within client onboarding positions within funds management, superannuation, institutional banking,custodyor fund administration.
• Strong understanding of institutional investor onboarding processes, client due diligencerequirementsand regulatory obligations.
• Demonstrated experience managing complex client onboarding cases across multiple stakeholders andjurisdictions.
• Sound knowledge of AML/CTF, FATCA and CRS requirements within an investment management or financial services environment.
• Proven ability to build trusted relationships with clients, consultants, custodians,trusteesand internal business partners.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with confidence engaging with senior internal andexternalstakeholders.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Business,Financeor related discipline preferred.
