Worley is seeking an Associate to join its APAC Advisory team, supporting clients across mining, minerals and metals with strategic, commercial and investment advice to turn opportunity into execution.

As an Associate, you will lead workstreams, build relationships with senior stakeholders, contribute to business development, and deliver high-quality advisory outcomes using strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering, Economics, Business, Finance or related discipline.
  • Around 10+ years' experience in consulting, strategy or mining/ metals/capital projects environments.
  • Experience delivering advisory services, investment evaluations, business cases, within mining/minerals/metals sector.
  • Strong commercial, financial and analytical skills, with understanding of mining project drivers and commodity markets.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and project management capabilities.
  • Experience assessing project economics, development options, value, risk and capital allocation decisions across mining assets.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver advisory engagements across growth strategy, transaction due diligence and development planning for mining, minerals and metals customers.
  • Develop business cases, investment assessments and development strategies for mining, processing, smelting, refining and associated project developments.
  • Undertake techno-commercial analysis, including project economics, valuation, market assessments, commodity outlooks and investment screening.
  • Structure complex problems and develop practical, commercially focused recommendations.
  • Prepare high-quality reports, presentations and customer deliverables.
  • Facilitate workshops, stakeholder interviews and customer engagement activities.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships, including with senior stakeholders across mining companies, investors and government agencies.
  • Support proposal development, account planning and business development initiatives across the mining, minerals and metals sector.
  • Coach junior team members and contribute to capability development across the practice.
  • Support the development of consulting methodologies, tools and intellectual property relevant to mining, minerals and metals advisory.

Worley Consulting is seeking an experienced Associate to join our Advisory team across APAC. This role supports customers across the mining, minerals and metals sector, delivering strategic, commercial and investment advice that helps turn opportunity into execution.

As an Associate, you will lead workstreams, support customer relationships, contribute to business development activities, and help deliver high-quality advisory outcomes. You will combine strong analytical capability with commercial judgement and stakeholder engagement skills to solve complex business challenges across the mining and metals value chain.

Key Responsibilities

What You Will Bring

  • Experience delivering advisory services, investment evaluations, business cases, strategic studies and development assessments within the mining, minerals and metals sector.
  • Strong commercial, financial and analytical skills, with an understanding of mining project drivers and commodity markets.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and project management capabilities.
  • Experience assessing project economics, development options, value, risk and capital allocation decisions across mining and processing assets.
  • Knowledge of mining operations, mineral processing, metals production, critical minerals, or associated value chains would be highly regarded.
  • Ability to lead workstreams and collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills; exposure to analytics and AI-enabled tools is advantageous.
