Job summary

Worley is seeking an experienced Associate to join our Advisory team across APAC, based in Sydney. The role delivers strategic, commercial and investment advice to mining, minerals and metals clients, turning opportunity into execution.

You will lead workstreams, develop client relationships, support business development, and deliver high-quality advisory outcomes using strong analytical capability, commercial judgement and stakeholder engagement across the mining and metals value chain.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Economics, Business, Finance or related discipline.
• About 10+ years' experience in consulting, strategy, investment advisory, mining, minerals and metals, or capital projects environments.
• Experience delivering advisory services, investment evaluations, business cases, strategic studies and development assessments within mining sector.
• Strong commercial, financial and analytical skills with understanding of mining project drivers and commodity markets.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver advisory engagements across growth strategy, transaction due diligence and development planning for mining, minerals and metals customers.
• Develop business cases, investment assessments and development strategies for mining, processing, smelting, refining and associated project developments.
• Undertake techno-commercial analysis, including project economics, valuation, market assessments and investment screening.
• Structure complex problems and develop practical, commercially focused recommendations.
• Prepare high-quality reports, presentations and customer deliverables.
• Facilitate workshops, stakeholder interviews and customer engagement activities.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships, including with senior stakeholders across mining companies, investors and government agencies.
• Support proposal development, account planning and business development initiatives across mining sector.
• Coach junior team members and contribute to capability development.
• Support development of consulting methodologies, tools and IP relevant to mining advisory.
