Job summary

Bentley Recruitment is assisting a private, self-licensed Australian financial advisory firm in Melbourne to find an Associate Adviser for its Risk Advice team. You will work with a Senior Risk Adviser to support personal insurance and wealth protection strategies, with strong mentorship and development opportunities.

The role can suit someone completing a Professional Year or an experienced adviser seeking to deepen risk expertise.

Qualifications

• Experience in insurance advice as a senior CSO, paraplanner or associate adviser.
• Willingness to complete Professional Year and become an insurance specialist financial adviser.
• Paraplanning experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Conduct client reviews and risk advice meetings.
• Prepare and present insurance recommendations.
• Manage referrals from wealth and lending teams.
• Build client relationships and ongoing engagement.
• Assist with strategy implementation and policy servicing.
• Liaise with paraplanners, CSOs and operations teams.
• Support compliance and advice documentation.

About the Role

Our client is seeking an Associate Adviser to join their growing Risk Advice team. Working alongside an experienced Senior Risk Adviser, you'll support clients with personal insurance and wealth protection strategies while receiving strong mentorship and development opportunities. This role can be tailored to suit someone completing their Professional Year, recently qualified, or an experienced Associate Adviser looking to deepen their risk advice expertise.

• Conduct client reviews and risk advice meetings

• Build client relationships and ongoing engagement


• Assist with strategy implementation and policy servicing

Skills & Experience

• Strong experience in insurance advice as a senior CSO, paraplanner or associate adviser


• Strong working knowledge of Xplan


• Keen to complete your Professional Year and become an insurance specialist financial adviser


• Paraplanning experience highly regarded
