RB Global is seeking an Assistant Yard Manager to support the Yard Manager in ensuring the smooth, safe operation of the main auction site and off-site locations. You will apply EH&S practices, manage inventory, source parts, and oversee multi-disciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment.

Strong mechanical aptitude and equipment refurbishment experience are essential, as are excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills to keep operations running efficiently.

Qualifications

• EH&S experience required.
• Mechanical aptitude is essential.
• Experience in equipment repair and refurbishment.
• Inventory management experience.
• Part sourcing and procurement with negotiation skills.
• Experience supervising multi-disciplinary teams.
• Experience with industrial or agricultural equipment, trucks or trailers.
• Cost management background preferred.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Proven customer service experience with colleagues and customers.
• Strong computer skills and ability to learn new programs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; effective use of radios and mobile devices.
• Ability to prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Yard Manager to ensure the main auction site and off-site locations run smoothly and safely.
• Support EH&S compliance and safe operations across sites.
• Oversee inventory management and part sourcing.
• Procure equipment and negotiate supplier terms.
• Supervise multi-disciplinary teams across sites.
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to resolve issues promptly.
• Manage costs and monitor business fundamentals as needed.
• Maintain and refurbish equipment as required.
• Provide excellent customer service to customers and colleagues.
