Job summary

The Summit Aquatic and Leisure Centre in Mount Barker seeks an Assistant Venue Manager to lead and inspire a cross‑functional team across aquatic services, health club and guest experience. You will work with the Venue Manager to meet KPIs, manage daily operations and drive customer journeys that grow revenue and member loyalty.

You are a hands‑on health, leisure or fitness leader with a proven track record in people management, service excellence and safety compliance.

Qualifications

Demonstrated leadership in managing large teams.
Experience driving sales and membership growth.
HR management skills and compliance requirements.
Must have Working with Children check and First Aid/CPR certifications or willingness to obtain them.

Responsibilities

Manage large Aquatic services and Health & Fitness teams to ensure a safe, patron‑friendly site.
Oversee sales, retention, guest experience and health club operations; act on patron feedback.
Support GoSwim Coordinator for swim school bookings and programs.
Support Guest Experience Coordinator with daily guest service and retail operations.
Oversee Health Club operations and group fitness scheduling.
Assist Centre Manager in growing the membership base with professional service to members and prospects.
Ability to work weekends.
