Job summary

The Sporting Globe is opening a landmark venue in Greensborough and seeks an Assistant Venue Manager to lead the launch team. You’ll help build the team, set standards and shape the culture of our biggest Sporting Globe yet.

You’ll drive frontline leadership, recruit and train staff, and ensure the venue runs smoothly during peak times and big game days. RSA is essential and TAB/RSG knowledge is valued.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams in busy hospitality venues.
• Ability to manage high-volume shifts and maintain service quality under pressure.
• RSA certification required; RSG and TAB knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead from the front during peak periods and events at the venue.
• Oversee shifts to ensure smooth service and high standards across the venue.
• Assist in recruiting, training and building a brand-new team for Greensborough opening.
• Coach team members and foster a positive culture.
• Support stock, compliance, reporting and daily operations.
• Step in for senior management when needed.
• Ensure big game days deliver a top-tier experience.

GREENSBOROUGH, WE’RE GOING BIG.

This November, The Sporting Globe is landing in Greensborough and this one is going to be a monster.

Our biggest venue yet. Multi level. Sports bar. Gaming. Huge screens. Big game days. Cold beers. Packed weekends.

Basically, subtle isn’t really the brief.

We’re looking for Assistant Venue Managers to join our opening leadership team and help us bring the whole thing to life.

You won’t be walking into someone else’s venue. You’ll be there from the start, helping build the team, set the standards and create the culture of our biggest Sporting Globe yet.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Leading from the front when the venue is pumping
• Running great shifts and keeping service sharp across the venue
• Helping recruit, train and build a brand new team
• Coaching your crew and creating a culture people actually want to be part of
• Supporting stock, compliance, reporting and day to day operations
• Taking charge when senior management are away
• Making sure big game days feel exactly as big as they should

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

• You’ve led teams in busy hospitality environments before, ideally across pubs, bars, restaurants or entertainment venues.
• You can keep your cool when the place is packed, know how to run a great shift and aren’t afraid to jump in when things get hectic.
• You’re confident, hands on, great with people and know how to get a team firing.
• RSA is essential, with RSG and TAB knowledge highly regarded.
• And it probably helps if you don’t mind a bit of sport.
