Bank of China Sydney is seeking an energetic Assistant Treasury Risk Analyst to join our Sydney Office on a two-year term contract with potential to convert to a permanent role.

The role focuses on monitoring macroeconomic developments in Australia and China, producing analytical reports, and supporting management with insights on currency and interest rate markets. Strong English and Mandarin communication and solid risk analysis skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance or related
• CPA/CFA/FRM in Australia preferred
• Minimum 3 years Economics Research, risk analysis related experience
• Strong economic, policy, risk analysis and problem-solving skills
• Highly developed influencing and negotiation skills
• Proven ability to build strong stakeholder relationships with people at all levels and from different backgrounds
• Ability to work flexibly across different teams and projects to deliver outputs
• Good understanding of financial markets, including foreign exchange, money market and interest rate markets
• Excellent written and verbal communication in both English and Mandarin

Responsabilités

• Monitoring Macroeconomic developments and banking industry in Australia and China, and undertaking research projects at country or region wide level
• Liaising with economic researchers in industry, academia and government agencies
• Producing analytical reports and helping provide insights about the macroeconomic outlook of Australia and China
• Monitoring analyzing and writing reports on banking and finance industry
• Monitoring and analyzing key financial market developments, including foreign exchange rates, interest rates, bond yields, money market indicators, and assessing key market drivers
• Producing regular and ad hoc commentary and analytical reports on foreign exchange and interest rate market outlooks, scenarios and key risks, and providing market insights to support management decision-making and financial management activities

This is a Two Year Term Contract, with strong potential to convert to an ongoing role upon successful completion.

Responsibilities:

• Monitoring Macroeconomicdevelopments and banking industry in Australia and China, and undertaking research projects at country or region wide level
• Liaisingwith economic researchers in industry, academia and government agencies
• Producinganalytical reports and helping provide insights about the macroeconomic outlook of Australia and China
• Monitoringanalyzing and writing reports on banking and finance industry
• Monitoringand analyzing key financial market developments, including foreign exchange rates, interest rates, bond yields, money market indicators, and assessing key market drivers
• Producing regularand ad hoc commentary and analytical reports on foreign exchange and interest rate market outlooks, scenarios and key risks, and providing market insights to support management decision-making and financial management activities

To be considered, possessing following skills and experience are essential:

• Bachelor's degree inEconomics, Finance or related
• Certified Practicing Accounts (CPA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM) in Australia is preferred
• Minimum3 years Economics Research, risk analysis related experience
• Strongeconomic, policy, risk analysis and problem-solving skills
• Highlydeveloped influencing and negotiation skills
• Provenability to build strong stakeholder relationships with people at all levels and from different backgrounds
• Abilityto work flexibly across different teams and projects to deliver outputs, and to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities
