Job summary

Norco AgriSolutions in Wauchope is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to lead by example and drive store performance. You will coach and develop the team, ensure outstanding customer service, and manage stock, merchandising and safety in a fast-paced rural retail setting.

You will partner with the Store Manager to deliver operational objectives, foster a collaborative culture, and build relationships within the local community while upholding Norco’s 130+ year heritage.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a retail, agricultural or customer-facing team.

• Strong operational and organisational skills.

• Experience with inventory management, stock control and cash handling.

• Current and valid driver's licence (essential).
• Forklift licence or willingness to obtain.
• Interest in agriculture or rural communities is highly valued.

About The Role

We are seeking a motivated and hands-on individual with strong customer service, operational and leadership capabilities to join our Wauchope team as Assistant Store Manager.

This is a key leadership role within the store. Working closely with the Store Manager, you will help drive store performance, develop team capability and deliver an exceptional customer experience.

You will lead by example, support day-to-day operations and provide strong leadership to ensure the store continues to operate successfully in a fast-paced retail environment.

In This Role, You Will:

• Leadership experience in a retail, agricultural or customer-facing environment.

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• A customer-focused approach and sound commercial awareness.
• Experience with inventory management, stock control and cash handling processes.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety.
• Current and valid driver's licence (essential).
• Forklift licence (or willingness to obtain).
• Relevant qualification in business, retail, agriculture or a related field (desirable but not essential).
• Interest in agriculture, rural products or regional communities would be highly regarded.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic and hands-on approach.
