Guzman y Gomez Mexican Kitchen is seeking an Assistant Restaurant Manager in Australia to lead a busy service, coach Crew and Shift Leaders, and drive exceptional guest experiences. You’ll partner with the Restaurant Manager to enhance performance, food safety, and financial metrics while fostering a positive team culture.

Ideal candidates bring hands-on leadership on the floor, strong communication, and proven ability to manage KPIs in a quick-service environment.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership experience in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
• Proven ability to deliver outstanding customer experiences.
• Confident coaching, feedback and developing crew and Shift Leaders.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience driving operational KPIs and cost controls.
• Hands-on leadership style with presence on the floor.

Responsibilities

• Lead the restaurant through busy service periods and set the standard on shift.
• Coach, train and develop Crew and Shift Leaders.
• Create an energetic, positive and high-performing team culture.
• Deliver an exceptional guest experience every day.
• Drive operational KPIs across service, quality, sales, labour and costs.
• Support rostering, recruitment and people management.
• Manage inventory, ordering, stock control and financial performance.
• Maintain high standards across food quality, safety and presentation.
