Zambrero in Brisbane is seeking an Assistant Restaurant Manager to support the Restaurant Manager in delivering fast, fresh, and healthy Mexican food with a smile. You will lead daily operations, help hire, train, roster staff, manage payroll tasks, and ensure high standards in food quality, service, and safety.

Responsibilities

• Lead the restaurant team in day-to-day operations for efficiency.
• Help manage hiring, training, performance reviews, rostering and resolve staff issues.
• Ensure food is prepared, presented and served to the highest standard.
• Assist with stock ordering from various suppliers.
• Assist with office admin tasks such as paperwork, banking, cash handling and policies.
• Oversee daily and weekly cleaning of production areas, dining room and restaurant.
• Ensure safety standards are recognised and upheld; train staff in WHS.

What you’ll do

Our Assistant Restaurant Managers take pride in preparing and serving fast, fresh, and healthy Mexican food with a smile. As an Assistant Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for assisting the Restaurant Manager with setting the highest standard in all areas of the restaurant including the customer experience, the workplace culture, and the financial results.

• Leading the restaurant team in efficient day to day operations
• Assisting in managing your team, including hiring, training, performance reviews, rostering, and resolving any employee issues including grievances
• Ensuring food is prepared, presented, and served to the highest standard
• Assisting with ordering of stock from various suppliers
• Assisting with office administration duties such as paperwork, banking, cash handling, payroll and reviewing policies
• Managing daily and weekly cleaning of the production areas, dining room and general restaurant
• Ensuring safety and security standards are recognised and upheld, and that employees are effectively trained in Workplace Health and Safety
