Responsibilities

• Monitor flock health, welfare, performance, feed use and environmental conditions.
• Follow DAFF requirements, quarantine procedures, biosecurity controls and detailed SOPs.
• Maintain accurate records, reports and audit-ready documentation.
• Assist with staff rosters, training, site maintenance, clean-outs and contractor coordination.
• Participate in an after-hours on-call roster and respond to facility alarms when required.

Its specialist quarantine facility, located approximately 25 kilometres south of Wagga Wagga, receives and cares for imported eggs, manages incubation and hatching, and rears breeding stock through the quarantine period under strict government-approved protocols.

The Opportunity

This is an exciting pathway into specialist poultry operations and future leadership. Working closely with the Quarantine Manager, you will help run the facility, learn every aspect of the operation and develop the capability to step up when the Manager is absent.

Key Responsibilities
