Job summary

ASC Pty Ltd in Adelaide, SA is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the SSN AUKUS Build Program across the project lifecycle. This full-time, on-site role offers exposure to high-impact defence projects and opportunities to develop leadership and program management skills.

You will coordinate cross-functional teams, maintain baselines, prepare governance reports, and contribute to continuous improvement while building strong stakeholder relationships in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a complex project environment at Project Engineer level or equivalent.
• Tertiary qualifications in technical or project management discipline.
• Advanced MS Office; Power BI advantageous.
• Knowledge of Scheduling, Earned Value Management, finances and stakeholders.
• Autonomous, organized and able to multitask with limited direction.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project baselines, track progress and take corrective actions.
• Liaise daily with Engineering, Production, Supply Chain and Finance.
• Prepare, coordinate and deliver governance reports and reviews.
• Lead governance activities and ensure process controls and consistency.
• Promote safety culture and drive continuous improvement.
• Mentor team members and foster a high-performance PM culture.
• Support standardised PM processes and reporting frameworks.
