Job summary

You’ll learn from Tier 1/2 head contractors and contribute to multiple townhouse developments and fit-outs in Melbourne’s CBD, driving outcomes and building strong relationships with subcontractors,

Job description

You're probably a senior PC. You're probably someone who's paved their way within a T1 into a senior PC position, but that PM role is still years away. This is a great opportunity to expedite that by stepping into a tier 3 with tier 1 processes that crave your experience.

As an Assistant PM, you have the opportunity to get more involved in the entire project. Your involvement will stretch from early planning and design through procurement, construction and handover, working directly with the people making decisions. For someone bringing Tier 1 or Tier 2 experience, it's an opportunity to apply that foundation more broadly and develop towards managing your own projects.

You will work across both the commercial and residential divisions, with multiple townhouse developments and live office and retail fit-outs in Melbourne's CBD. That variety brings exposure to different construction methods, architectural details and delivery challenges, with experienced project and site teams around you to learn from.

Just as important is how you work with people and how good you are at driving outcomes! You will be organised, comfortable having difficult conversations, and able to build productive relationships with subcontractors, consultants, and your own team.

There's a social side to the business, too. The team has taken on the Melbourne Corporate Triathlon in St Kilda, while company gatherings bring the site and office crews together to celebrate promotions, project wins, and the work behind them. It's a chance to get out of the day-to-day, enjoy each other's company and build relationships beyond the projects. A little friendly competition appears to come with the territory.

Experience with a Tier 1 or Tier 2 commercial head contractor is essential.

Salary is up to $185k, including super.
