Job summary

Turner & Townsend in Canberra is seeking a capable Project Manager to support the development and delivery of assigned projects. You will contribute to policy, procedures and contracts, while maintaining rigorous document control and reporting.

Ideal candidates bring 2–8 years in project management, a relevant degree, and strong English writing skills. The role offers a healthy, flexible working environment and opportunities to advance within a global practice.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in a technical field related to construction or project management.
• 2–8 years of project management experience (client side/consulting preferred).
• Baseline clearance preferred but not essential.
• Advanced Microsoft skills are essential; Primavera skills highly regarded.
• Strong leadership and English report/bid writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the development and delivery of assigned project activities.
• Contribute to policy, procedures, business cases and contracts for projects.
• Document control for all information, deliverables and drawings.
• Understand and apply policy and procedures for project delivery.
• Use approved project and financial systems to process project documentation.
• Assist Senior Project Manager and Project Director with cost reporting, program management and risk updates.
• Recommend solutions to issues affecting outcomes.
• Assist with bids for future work and liaise with risk teams.

Job description

• Participate in the development and delivery of assigned project activities.
• Contribute to the development of policy, procedures, business cases and contracts associated with the development and delivery of assigned projects.
• Document control for all information, deliverables, drawings and the like
• Understand and apply policy and procedures associated with the development and delivery of assigned project activities
• Utilise approved project and financial management systems to process relevant project documentation.
• Assisting the Senior Project Manager and Project Director with tasks such as; cost reporting, program, service provider performance monitoring, risk register updates, quality assurance
• Recommend solutions to issues impacting on the achievement of desired outcomes.
• Assistance with bids for future work in the region, including bid plans and liaison with risk team overseas

• A recognised Degree or equivalent qualification relating to a technical field: Construction Management or Project Management, Engineering, Architecture, Cost Management or relatable trade experience
• 2-8 years project management experience (ideally client side/consulting)
• Baseline clearance preferred but not essential
• Ability to thrive in a high pressure, fast paced environment.
• Advanced Microsoft skills are essential and Primavera skills will be highly regarded
• Technical ability to lead and manage complex projects and programs as the key client interface
• Excellent command of written and spoken English with excellent report and bid writing skills.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead and develop a team.
• Highly motivated and driven with a passion for delivering to your clien
