Job summary

Brisbane Catholic Education (BCE) invites applications for a School Senior Leadership position to support the Principal in embedding Catholic identity, driving student engagement and wellbeing, and ensuring transparent stewardship of resources at St Kevin's Primary School, Benowa.

The role requires proven leadership as an Assistant Principal or similar, experience in religious education, and eligibility to work in Australia with QCT registration.

Qualifications

• Experience as Assistant Principal or equivalent leadership in Catholic schools.
• Experience in teaching and leading religious education.
• Catholic in faith (or faith partner of ecumenical schools).

• Salary: $149,763.00 - $157,120.00 + Super ( commensurate with experience )
• Status: Full Time | Fixed-term (Substantive 5 year appointment with a further 5 offered subject to a positive review)

In this position you will be responsible for:

• Fostering a high-performance culture by supporting and inspiring staff through providing professional learning and development opportunities and providing vision, direction and purpose;
• Supporting staff and students in their personal, professional and spiritual growth through formation, theological learning and reflective practice within a Catholic Christian context;
• Leading and managing assigned staff, finances and resources in accordance with legislative requirements, Archdiocesan expectations and BCE policies and procedures.

Please note: This is a substantive 5 year appointment as Assistant Principal (with a further 5 years offered subject to a positive review), with an underlying continuing teaching status.

About you

To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:

• Experience as an Assistant Principal, Assistant Principal Religious Education, Deputy Principal, Head of Campus or Principal, or a senior role providing support and leadership to Catholic schools, or equivalent experience
• Experience in teaching, and leading the teaching of, religious education.
• For this position you are required to be Catholic.

Eligibility and Safeguarding requirements:

• Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
• Current registration with Queensland College of Teachers (QCT)
• For this position you are required to be Catholic (or a faith partner of one of our ecumenical schools).
