Job summary

Shalom College, Bundaberg a Catholic secondary school, seeks an Assistant Principal: Mission to join its leadership team. The role commences January 2027 and is a full-time 5-year contract with a salary range of $149,764–$157,118 plus 12.75% super. Applications close 23 October 2026 and start date is 18 January 2027.

The successful candidate will lead religious education, foster Gospel values, engage with parish life and drive strategic school improvement aligned with Diocesan policies.

Qualifications

• Depth of commitment to Catholic education and faith-based leadership.
• Experience in school leadership and religious education.
• Ability to work with parish life, governance and policy frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership in religious education and the spiritual life of the school.
• Lead and implement high-quality learning, teaching and school improvement initiatives.
• Foster partnerships with staff, students, parents, clergy and community.
