St Thomas of Villanova Parish School, Mareeba, seeks an Assistant Principal Catholic Identity to lead inclusive education and champion the ethos of Catholic education. The role combines leadership with a 0.4 FTE teaching load within a Catholic Education setting in Mareeba.

The successful candidate will foster belonging and equity, work with teachers, families and external professionals to support each student’s learning and wellbeing, and contribute to a child-safe organisational culture.

Working collaboratively with teachers, support staff and families, the successful applicant will lead and promote evidence-based inclusive education practices, guide the development of personalised learning approaches, and support the implementation of effective teaching strategies that respond to individual student needs.

This leadership role involves building strong partnerships with parents and carers, as well as collaborating with specialist staff and external professionals, including therapists and inclusive education personnel, to enhance student learning and wellbeing outcomes.
