Job summary

St Joseph's Primary Maclean, part of the Diocese of Lismore Catholic Schools, is seeking an Assistant Principal – Learning and Teaching. The role leads teaching and curriculum, fosters a Catholic learning community, and supports school-wide learning initiatives within a vibrant Primary setting.

The successful candidate will contribute to accreditation, wellbeing and high-quality pedagogy, working with staff to create inclusive, engaging learning environments aligned with Catholic mission.

Qualifications

• Masters level qualifications in Educational Leadership or equivalent, or willingness to obtain.
• Broad experience in curriculum, pedagogy and leading collaborative cultures.
• Ability to integrate Catholic beliefs into learning and teaching, including Catholic Social Teaching.
• Strong organisation, communication and problem solving skills.
• Experience leading initiatives to improve learning and wellbeing outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Co-responsible for leadership in learning, teaching and Catholic identity within the school.
• Lead initiatives to improve student engagement, wellbeing and performance.
• Support staff capacity building through coaching and school-wide activities.
