Brisbane Catholic Education Office serves as the employer for St Joseph's North Ipswich, seeking an experienced Assistant Principal to lead teaching and learning, curriculum implementation, assessment, and data-informed practice to ensure excellence and equity for all learners.

This substantive 5-year appointment (with potential extension) requires Catholic faith and a track record of leadership within a Catholic school, plus a commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education.

Qualifications

• Experience in leadership roles within a Catholic school context.
• Proven ability to design and evaluate curriculum across year levels.
• Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education.

Responsibilities

• Model and embed a contemporary Catholic worldview within curriculum design, pedagogy and assessment practices.
• Lead the design, implementation and evaluation of a compliant whole-school curriculum aligned with BCE frameworks and system expectations.
• Lead high-impact pedagogical practices to improve student outcomes.
• Oversee assessment frameworks aligned with BCE and QCAA.
• Collaborate with inclusive education leaders to ensure access for all learners.
• Work with Campus Leadership Team to align teaching priorities with BCE strategy.
• Ensure curriculum, assessment and reporting comply with BCE policies and legislative expectations.
• Communicate with parents about student learning progress and curriculum matters.
• Contribute to whole-school strategic planning and improvement.
