Brisbane Catholic Education (BCE) invites applications for a School Senior Leadership position at St Joseph’s North Ipswich. The role supports the Principal in teaching, curriculum implementation, assessment, data-informed practice and professional growth to ensure excellence and equity for all learners.

The position includes a substantive 5-year appointment with a further 5-year option, underlying teaching status, and a focus on Catholic life, student engagement and sustainable school community

Qualifications

• Experience as an Assistant Principal, Assistant Principal Religious Education, Deputy Principal, Head of Campus or Principal, or a senior role providing support and leadership to Catholic schools, or equivalent experience
• Experience in teaching, and leading the teaching of, religious education.
• You are required to be Catholic for this position.

Responsibilities

• Model and embed a contemporary Catholic worldview within curriculum design, pedagogy and assessment practices.
• Lead the design, implementation and evaluation of a compliant whole-school curriculum aligned with BCE frameworks and system expectations.
• Lead the development of high-impact pedagogical practices that improve student learning outcomes across all year levels.
• Oversee the development and implementation of assessment frameworks that are aligned with QCAA and BCE expectations.
• Collaborate with inclusive education leaders to ensure curriculum access and participation for all learners, including students with diverse needs.
• Work collaboratively as a member of the Campus Leadership Team to align teaching and learning priorities with BCE strategic direction.
• Ensure all curriculum, assessment and reporting practices comply with BCE policies, QCAA requirements and legislative expectations.
• Ensure clear, timely and professional communication with parents and caregivers regarding student learning progress and curriculum matters.
• Contribute to whole-school strategic planning, improvement agendas and review processes aligned with BCE frameworks.
