Job summary

Brisbane Catholic Education seeks an outstanding educational leader to join our leadership team as Assistant Principal at St Joseph’s North Ipswich. This role supports the Principal in teaching, curriculum design, assessment, data-informed practice and professional growth to ensure excellence and equity for all learners.

The substantive 5-year appointment includes ongoing teaching status, with the possibility of a further 5-year extension.

Qualifications

• Experience as a senior leader in Catholic schools or equivalent.
• Experience in teaching and leading religious education.
• Catholic for this position.

Responsibilities

• Model and embed a contemporary Catholic worldview within curriculum design, pedagogy and assessment practices.
• Lead the design, implementation and evaluation of a compliant whole-school curriculum aligned with BCE frameworks and system expectations.
• Lead high-impact pedagogical practices to improve student learning outcomes across all year levels.
• Oversee development and implementation of assessment frameworks aligned with QCAA and BCE expectations.
• Collaborate with inclusive education leaders to ensure curriculum access for all learners.
