Job summary

State Swim is seeking an Assistant Operations Manager for our East Fremantle swim school. You will support daily operations, lead a team, and drive customer experiences while modelling safety and compliance.

The role sits under the Operations Manager and offers mentorship, training, and clear progression for emerging leaders. Strong leaders with excellent communication and a customer-service mindset will thrive; swimming industry experience is welcomed but not essential, with one weekend shift

Qualifications

Experience leading and coaching teams in a busy service environment.
Strong customer service focus with a passion for families.
Ability to balance competing priorities in a fast-paced setting.
Willingness to obtain WWCC/CPR qualifications.

Responsibilities

Support the daily operations of the swim school and ensure smooth centre operations
Lead, coach and motivate team members to deliver exceptional service
Assist with staff training, onboarding and development
Build positive relationships with swimmers, families and team members
Help maintain high standards of safety, compliance and operational excellence
Contribute to centre growth through member retention and customer engagement
Work collaboratively with the Operations manager to achieve centre goals
