Job summary

Port Stephens Council’s Thrive Kids program at Tomaree Public School, Raymond Terrace NSW, seeks an Assistant Supervisor for a permanent part-time role. The aim is to build lasting relationships with families, support children, and maintain a work‑life-balanced roster.

You’ll work 30 hours per week with core hours 6:30am–9:15am and 3:00pm–6:00pm, plus service administration. Base salary range $52,224–$56,635 pa, with 12% superannuation and additional allowances.

  • Certificate III or equivalent in Children Services, Education or related field.
  • Current approved First Aid in an Education and Care setting and CPR certification.
  • Current Working With Children Check and National Police Check.

This is a permanent opportunity – working part-time

30 hours + access to a flexible working arrangement

Core Working Hours: 6:30am to 9:15am & 3:00pm to 6:00pm with the remainder of hours used for service administration

Please note: You may be required to work up to 38 hours per week, to attend monthly meetings, compulsory training and 1:1’s as operational required

Base Salary Range: $52,224 - $56,635 pa based on 30 hours per week + 12% superannuation + Broken Shift Allowance + Retention Allowance + Early Childhood Education and Care Allowance (Paid as Worker Retention Payment)
