Job summary

Rydges Hotels & Resorts in Sydney is seeking an experienced Night Manager to lead overnight hotel operations, ensuring exceptional guest service and precise night audits. You will oversee front desk activities, maintain safety, and coordinate with Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, and other departments to sustain service quality.

The role requires prior front office or night audit experience, strong attention to detail, and proficiency with hotel systems for reservations, payments, and reporting.

• Previous experience in front office or night audit roles within a hotel environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver warm, professional service while efficiently checking guests in and out.
• Assist with night operations and deliver a warm, personalised welcome experience for guests.
• Step up to cover Night Manager days off, overseeing all night operations and ensuring safety and security of guests, staff, and property.
• Monitor and support the performance of Rooms Division and Food & Beverage departments overnight.
• Collaborate with all hotel departments to maintain service standards and resolve operational issues.
• Complete accurate night audit tasks and ensure compliance with hotel policies and procedures.
• Support other departments as needed to ensure smooth overnight operations.

What You’ll Bring

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately process guest transactions and complete nightly audit reports.
• Confident using hotel systems for reservations, payments, and reporting.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with a guest-first approach.
• Knowledge of hotel policies, WH&S standards, and cashiering procedures.
• Ability to work independently overnight while leading and motivating teams across multiple departments during overnight shifts
