Job summary

Rydges Sydney Central, part of EVT Group, seeks an experienced restaurant manager to lead daily operations, deliver exceptional food and beverage service, and drive guest satisfaction.

You will recruit and coach a diverse team, manage budgets and pricing, and partner with marketing for events while ensuring safety and compliance. This full-time role offers career growth within EVT’s hospitality network.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a restaurant manager or in a similar role within restaurants or hotels.
Strong understanding of food and beverage service standards, with a track record of achieving budget targets through accurate forecasting and cost control
Experience recruiting, training, and leading diverse teams, fostering collaboration, morale, and professional growth
Commercial thinking, with the ability to weigh up revenue, cost, and risk factors to drive performance and optimise resources
Strong communication skills, with the ability to gauge audience reaction and adjust your approach to gain agreement and buy-in from others
Resilience and dependability, maintaining high standards, focus, and a positive outlook even under pressure

Responsibilities

Operational leadership - manage day-to-day venue operations, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and company standards
Team management - recruit, train, and motivate staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work culture
Customer experience - deliver outstanding service, resolve feedback promptly, and drive customer satisfaction and loyalty
Financial management - develop and control budgets while maximising revenue
Performance analysis - monitor financial performance to identify cost savings and revenue growth opportunities
Pricing strategy - optimise menu and pricing strategies to maximise profitability
Events and marketing - plan promotions and events, working with marketing to drive business growth
Inventory oversight - manage stock levels and procurement of food, beverage, and supplies
Vendor management - build supplier relationships and negotiate favourable contract terms
Reporting - track KPIs and present performance insights to senior management

This is a full time position working a mixture of weekdays and weekend shifts.
