Job summary

Holiday Inn Express Sunshine Coast in Maroochydore invites an Assistant Night Manager to join our flagship team. You will work with the Night Manager to deliver exceptional guest experiences, uphold brand standards, and lead on shift during the night.

You are organised, customer-focused and able to stay calm under pressure. The role requires night shifts, strong communication, and the ability to manage emergencies in partnership with Duty Management while ensuring compliance with safety

Qualifications

• Proven experience within a similar role or capacity.
• Enjoy working Night Shift.
• Ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written form.
• Professional and personable, with a can-do attitude.
• Sound judgement, even under pressure.
• Calm, collected decision making under time pressure.
• Eligible to work in Australia (legal requirements).
• First Aid and RSA certificates required.

Responsibilities

• Love the brand and be a great ambassador of Holiday Inn Express.
• Be highly organised: scheduling, activity planning and task delegation.
• Work with the Night Manager and Duty Management team.
• Lead during hotel emergencies; assist in safety compliance; act as Manager on Duty in the Night Manager's absence.
• Communicate clearly and adaptively with diverse guests and colleagues.
• Collaborate across teams to problem solve and support business growth.

We're looking for Assistant Night Manager. someone smart and considerate - a problem solving genius that takes pride in creating and delivering great customer experiences. Working with the Night Manager, rolling up your sleeves and working side by side to deliver a superior product.

Responsibilities

• Love the brand & be a great ambassador of Holiday Inn Express
• You're a super organised, forward thinking type person: scheduling, activity planning and task delegation are critical to our success – we're depended on by the whole business to consistently deliver the goods.
• Working with the Night Manager and Duty Management team.
• Being part of and taking the lead when required in hotel emergency procedures, together with assisting in ensuring the hotel complies with local government regulations concerning safety, and any other regulatory requirements. In the absence of the Night Manager, be Manager on Duty.
• You'll be dealing with a variety of people, so your communication will be adaptable. You'll be a brilliant communicator - consistently clear and concise.
• You'll help us problem solve, as we're still building our business, we have solutions to find – your logical thinking and collaboration with teams across the business will be key.

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience within a similar role or capacity.
• Enjoy working Night Shift.
• Ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written form
• Professional and personable, with a can-do attitude.
• You're pre-equipped with sound judgement, even under pressure – you'll have a heap of responsibility right off the bat
• You make calm, collected decisions – even when the clock is ticking
• Ideally, you'll have the appropriate qualification or relevant equivalent experience
• You will be required to hold or obtain a First Aid certificate and a VIC RSA Certificate
• Must meet the appropriate legal requirements to work in Australia
