Job summary

Hyatt Hotels Corporation, Andaz Gold Coast, is seeking an Assistant Manager – Pool Club (Pre-Opening) to lead Pool Club operations with energy and care. You will supervise service across poolside, dining and bar areas and collaborate with culinary and hotel teams to deliver a seamless guest journey.

You’ll motivate and coach colleagues, manage rosters, training and performance feedback, and maintain safety and presentation standards during busy periods.

Qualifications

• Experience in a high-volume hospitality environment.
• Strong leadership and staff coaching abilities.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Availability to work a flexible roster, including evenings and weekends.
• Must have current Australian working rights.

We’re looking for an Assistant Manager to help lead Pool Club, our vibrant day-to-night destination where relaxed poolside moments meet thoughtful service, great food and effortless hospitality.

You’ll be a visible leader on the floor, creating an atmosphere that feels energetic, welcoming and distinctly Gold Coast. With a sharp eye for detail and a natural ability to connect with guests and colleagues, you’ll help every service run smoothly from the first coffee to the final cocktail.

Qualifications

What you’ll bring

• Previous experience in an Assistant Manager, Supervisor or senior hospitality role
• Experience in a high-volume restaurant, bar, beach club, pool club or lifestyle venue
• A strong understanding of food, beverage and guest experience
• Confident leadership skills and a genuine interest in developing colleagues
• Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving abilities
• A hands‑on approach and the flexibility to be present where the team needs you
• Availability to work a flexible roster, including days, evenings, weekends and public holidays
• Responsible Service of Alcohol certification, or the ability to obtain it
• Must already have current and ongoing working rights for Australia
