Job summary

The Kirribilli Hotel in Sydney is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Publican in running a fast-paced, high-energy pub environment with a strong local following.

You will lead a team, ensure safe operations, and bring energy, service, and smiles to every shift. Must hold RSA, RCG, and ARCG certificates and be ready to manage hands-on duties and deliveries.

Qualifications

• Experience in bar, bistro or gaming room management.
• Must hold RSA, RCG and ARCG certificates as per NSW requirements.
• Ability to lead a team and provide excellent guest service.

Responsibilities

• Assist Publican to run the pub smoothly and safely.
• Lead a team to deliver high-energy service during shifts.
• Engage with locals and foster a welcoming pub culture.
• Manage occasional operational hiccups and logistics (stock, deliveries).
• Represent the pub when the manager is away with professionalism.

Base salary $80,000 + Super + Bonus Scheme + Group wide discounts

We’re on the hunt for our next Assistant Manager to help keep the Kirribilli Hotelbuzzing and loved by the locals.

Situated right at the foot of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, The Kirribilli Hotel has been a Milsons Point institution since 1937. Featuring multiple bars, a state-of-the-art Sports Bar, dining spaces, and busy event areas, we offer a fast-paced, high-energy environment with one of the best views in Sydney.

A day in the life of an Assistant Manager:

• Get to know the locals so well they think you’re part of the crew
• Support the Publican to keep the pub running smoothly, safely, and with a great vibe
• Learn the ropes of being a Publican while leading a team of absolute hospo legends
• Handle hiccups before they turn into headaches
• Bring the energy, the service, and the smiles every single shift

Inherent requirements:

This is a hands‑on role that involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock, kegs, and deliveries). Applicants must have the ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.

About you:

• You’ve been around the bar, bistro, or gaming room block, and maybe already done some supervising
• You’ve learned from great managers and now you’re ready to step up
• You’ve got the confidence, pride, and people skills to be the face of the pub when the boss is away
• You’ve got a current RSA, RCG and ARCG as per state requirements
