Job summary

Golden Beach Tavern, part of Endeavour Group, seeks an Assistant Manager to lead a busy front-of-house team on the sunny coast. You’ll drive high-energy service across a lively venue, from the bistro to gaming and events, while upholding elite standards.

You’ll train and motivate staff, partner with the Publican, and manage shifts with safety and guest experience at the core. RSA/RSG, RMLV and Approved Managers Licence holders encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Supervising or leading a team in a fast-paced hospitality setting.
• Proven ability to deliver high-quality hospitality
• Strong guest-service orientation and communication skills
• RSA/RSG, RMLV, Approved Managers Licence required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Get to know locals and build rapport as part of the crew.
• Support the Publican to run the pub smoothly, safely, and with a great vibe.

Are you a hospitality professional ready to run the floor at one of the busiest and most vibrant coastal venues on the sunny coast? The Golden Beach Tavern is looking for a driven, floor-focused Assistant Manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment and knows how to keep a large crew moving in sync.

"The GBT" is a high-performing community powerhouse . Whether it's a packed weekend crowd enjoying live music on the deck, a bustling family lunch rush in the bistro, or managing our premium gaming and retail operations, this venue requires a leader who loves being right at the center of a high-energy trade. We need someone with sharp operational instincts who can maintain elite standards and ensure our sun-seeking locals and regulars receive gold-class hospitality on every shift.

A day in the life of an Assistant Manager:

• Get to know the locals so well they think you’re part of the crew
• Support the Publican to keep the pub running smoothly, safely, and with a great vibe
• Learn the ropes of being a Publican while leading a team of absolute hospo legends
• Handle hiccups before they turn into headaches
• Bring the energy, the service, and the smiles every single shift

Inherent requirements:

• This is a hands-on role that involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock, kegs, and deliveries). Applicants must have the ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.

About you:

• You’ve been around the bar, bistro, or gaming room block, and maybe already done some supervising
• You’ve learned from great managers and now you’re ready to step up
• You’ve got the confidence, pride, and people skills to be the face of the pub when the boss is away
• You’ve got a current RSA/RSG, RMLV and Approved Managers Licence as per state requirements
