Job summary

Forest Hotel in Sydney's Northern Beaches is seeking an Assistant Manager to help lead a busy venue on a hands-on, customer-facing basis. Base salary is $80,000 plus Super, with a bonus scheme and group-wide discounts across Endeavour Group brands.

You'll support the Publican, manage a team, and ensure the pub runs safely with a vibrant atmosphere. RSA/RCG are required, and local savings available through staff programs.

Qualifications

• This is a hands-on hospitality role requiring physical tasks.
• Current RSA and RCG as per state requirements must be held.
• Experience supervising in bar, bistro or gaming room is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Get to know locals and build rapport with patrons.
• Support the Publican to run the pub smoothly and safely.
• Lead a team of hospitality staff and maintain a great vibe.
• Handle hiccups promptly to prevent headaches.

We’re on the hunt for our next Assistant Manager to help keep the Forest Hotelbuzzing and loved by the locals.

Standing tall on Frenchs Forest Road, The Forest Hotel is a stunning addition to the local community.

Whether it's a meal with the family, catching live sport with friends, or soaking up the sunshine on The Terrace, The Forest Hotel is a premier destination located in the heart of the Northern Beaches.

A day in the life of an Assistant Manager:

• Get to know the locals so well they think you’re part of the crew
• Support the Publican to keep the pub running smoothly, safely, and with a great vibe
• Learn the ropes of being a Publican while leading a team of absolute hospo legends
• Handle hiccups before they turn into headaches
• Bring the energy, the service, and the smiles every single shift

Inherent requirements:

This is a hands‑on role that involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock, kegs, and deliveries). Applicants must have the ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.

About you:

• You’ve been around the bar, bistro, or gaming room block, and maybe already done some supervising
• You’ve learned from great managers and now you’re ready to step up
• You’ve got the confidence, pride, and people skills to be the face of the pub when the boss is away
• You’ve got a current RSA and RCG as per state requirements
