Job summary

Langlands Restaurant & Bar, based in Melbourne's CBD, seeks an Assistant Manager – Food & Beverage to lead daily operations and elevate service and beverage standards. You will coach the team to upsell and deliver memorable guest experiences in a fast-paced setting.

The role focuses on beverage excellence, menu development, and compliance with health and liquor regulations, while collaborating with the Assistant Director of F&B to shape guest energy and culture.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ hospitality leadership experience in fine dining or luxury venues.
• Deep passion for food, wine, and beverage excellence.
• WSET Level 3 or CMS certification, plus Victorian RSA.
• Excellent communication and guest-service skills.
• Strong wine knowledge for pairing and training staff.
• A genuine passion for beverages, wine and creating memorable guest experiences.
• Highly organised, solutions-focused and effective under pressure.
• Experience with POS systems and reporting.

Qualifications

About you:

• WSET Level 3 or CMS certification, plus a current Victorian RSA
• Excellent communication and guest‑service skills
• Advanced wine knowledge, including pairing and tasting, with the ability to train staff in beverage service and upselling
• A genuine passion for beverages, wine and creating memorable guest experiences
• Highly organised, solutions‑focused and effective under pressure
• Strong problem‑solving skills with experience using POS systems and reporting
