Job summary

KPMG Sydney is seeking an Assistant Manager for the Business & Tax Advisory team to deliver tax and accounting solutions to a diverse client base, including SMEs, family groups and trusts. The role involves client engagements, collaboration with senior leaders, and developing technical expertise across tax advisory services.

You'll mentor junior staff and contribute to ongoing professional development within a global network.

Qualifications

• 2 to 5 years of post-graduate advisory experience in Australian tax and accounting services.
• Bachelor of Business (Accounting) or equivalent from an Australian institution.
• Experience in preparation of financial statements, BAS and income tax returns for all entity types.
• Knowledge of Division 7A and trust distribution, with ability to manage compliance.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to establish and develop effective professional relationships.

Responsibilities

• Provide tax and accounting advice and solutions to a diverse portfolio including SMEs, families, trusts and partnerships.
• Develop technical expertise across tax and accounting compliance and advisory work for middle-market clients.
• Engage in client engagements with regular contact and meetings with senior leaders.
• Mentor less experienced team members and support their professional development.

With continued growth, we are now looking to recruit anAssistant Managerto join ourBusiness Services & Tax Advisoryteam in Sydney.

• Provide tax and accounting advice and solutions to a diverse portfolio which includes small to medium sized entities, family and privately owned businesses, trusts and partnerships, foreign subsidiaries and small listed entities
• Further develop your technical expertise working across services including tax and accounting compliance and business/tax advisory work for middle market clients
• Play a key role across the full scope of client engagements including regular client contact and attending client presentations and meetings with senior leaders
• Develop into a mentor to assist other less experienced team members and encourage their continued professional development
