Job summary

Endeavour Group is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Manager for the Burvale Hotel in Victoria. You will assist the Publican, lead a team of hospitality legends, and ensure the venue runs safely, smoothly, and with a vibrant atmosphere.

A hands-on role with lifting and stock movements is involved. You must hold a current RSA, RCG, and Gaming Licence per state requirements and bring supervisory experience from bar, bistro, or gaming settings.

Qualifications

• Hands-on role requiring manual handling and lifting.
• Must have RSA, RCG and Gaming Licence as per state requirements.
• Experience supervising in bar/hospitality environments.
• Ability to lead a team and be the face of the pub when management is away.

Responsibilities

• Support the Publican to run the pub smoothly, safely and with great vibes.
• Lead a team of hospitality staff and oversee daily operations.
• Handle hiccups before they become headaches and ensure guest satisfaction.
• Build relationships with locals and represent the venue when the boss is away.

About the Role

Assistant Manager | Burvale Hotel

We’re on the hunt for our next Assistant Manager to help keep the Burvale Hotelbuzzing and loved by the locals.

A day in the life of an Assistant Manager:

• Get to know the locals so well they think you’re part of the crew
• Support the Publican to keep the pub running smoothly, safely, and with a great vibe
• Learn the ropes of being a Publican while leading a team of absolute hospo legends
• Handle hiccups before they turn into headaches
• Bring the energy, the service, and the smiles every single shift

Inherent requirements:

• This is a hands‑on role that involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock, kegs, and deliveries). Applicants must have the ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.

About you:

• You’ve been around the bar, bistro, or gaming room block, and maybe already done some supervising
• You’ve learned from great managers and now you’re ready to step up
• You’ve got the confidence, pride, and people skills to be the face of the pub when the boss is away
• You’ve got a current RSA,RCG & Gaming Licence as per state requirements
