St Vincent's Health Australia – North Sydney NSW is seeking an Assistant in Nursing (casual) for McQuoin Ward at The Mater Hospital in North Sydney. You will rotate on a 24/7 roster and support the nursing team in delivering basic care and clinical assistance.

About The Role

• In this program you will be allocated to the McQuoin Ward. This is a highly productive surgical orthopaedics ward, where you will report directly to the Nurse Unit Manager and integrate into the nursing and multidisciplinary team.
• The Assistant in Nursing provides support to the Nursing staff in the delivery of basic care in busy surgical department. This experience could assist you in securing a New Graduate Position in the future.

About You

• Enrolled in and undertaking a Bachelor of Nursing at 2nd year level.
• Enrolled in and undertaking a Diploma of Nursing and in at least 2nd stage.
• Certificate 3 in Health Service Assistance.
• Complete fundamental clinical skills, to assist the RN/EN workforce.
• Flexible and available to work on a 24/7 rotating roster.
• Previous experience working in an acute healthcare area (desired).
